iTechSIM

iTechSIM storefront home page

Overview

A travel-eSIM store I co-founded with an Australian team and built myself — live catalogue, Stripe and PayPal checkout, and automated eSIM delivery in seconds.

iTechSIM sells prepaid travel data for 50 destinations. A traveller picks a country, pays, and gets a QR code by email within seconds — online the moment they land. I co-founded it with an Australian team and now build the entire product myself: storefront, checkout, fulfilment, and the operations tooling behind it.

The heart of it is a commerce pipeline. A nightly sync pulls the wholesale eSIM feed into Supabase with rule-based retail pricing. Stripe Checkout — Payment Element, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, promo codes — and an independent PayPal rail handle the money. A webhook-driven fulfilment flow provisions each eSIM with the supplier and delivers the QR, with operator alerts on failure and refunds wired to both payment providers.

Around the money path: magic-link auth with a usage dashboard, verified-buyer reviews with pre-publish moderation, an admin panel for pricing rules, orders and refunds, transactional email for delivery, usage alerts and review invites, Sentry error tracking, and a full staging environment mirroring production.

The way it gets built is half the story: an AI-native workflow where I design in Claude and implement in Claude Code, shipping one feature at a time. A working MVP went live in a week; a marketing-ready feature set followed within three. Beyond the code, I shape the roadmap, the marketing, and the plan to grow it together with the founding team.

Key contributions

  1. 01Co-founded the venture and shaped product direction, marketing, and launch with the founding team
  2. 02Built the whole product solo: Next.js App Router storefront, Supabase data layer, staging + production environments on Vercel
  3. 03Integrated Stripe Checkout Sessions — Payment Element, Apple Pay / Google Pay express checkout, Link, server-side promo codes
  4. 04Added an independent PayPal rail (Orders API v2) with signature-verified webhooks and automated refunds across both providers
  5. 05Automated the supply chain: nightly wholesale catalogue sync, margin-based pricing rules, post-payment provisioning with webhook reconciliation
  6. 06Transactional email pipeline: instant QR delivery, install nudges, usage alerts, review invites
  7. 07Verified-buyer reviews with moderation queue and aggregate-rating JSON-LD for SEO
  8. 08Admin panel: order search, refunds, pricing rules, catalogue sync, review moderation
